Bristol City Council is carrying out an investigation after it “forgot” to build a bus lane on a busy bridge in Redcliffe.
The council completed £129,000 of alterations to Redcliffe Bridge earlier this year, reducing the four traffic lanes to three and installing a two way-cycle path. But the finished work was not the same as the plans that had been consulted on.

BRISTOL City Council has been accused of ignoring its own consultation after deciding to push ahead with a showcase bus route for Fishponds, despite ongoing objections.
Work is set to begin on the Fishponds Road route this week, as part of the £78-million Greater Bristol Bus Network project.

BUS services across Bristol could be cut as the city council is facing a £2.2 million budget shortfall.
Morning, evening, Sunday and bank holiday services that the council supports could all be axed.
Certain journeys on the number 4 city centre to Downend, the 8 and 9 Temple Meads loop and the 20 Hengrove to Southmead are among the many that could be scrapped.
Night buses, the Henbury yellow school bus, harbour ferries, orbital buses, shopper services and the Easyrider could also be affected.
